Ottosdal Draf en Trap

Ottosdal Nite Marathon is part of the Ottosdal Draf & Trap Fees, and a fête is held at the showground from 08h00 untill late, with much to eat and drink and lots to do.  Cycling events (road & off-road) are also held from 08h00.  You may enter for a third medal by doing one of the Cycle races in the morning and a road race of your choice in the afternoon.  This medal link the cycle and road race medal as one medal.

The Ottosdal Nite Marathon has been consistently voted by the Runner’s World race judges as a well organized and well presented event.  It is a qualifying race for the Two Oceans and Comrades.  Over the last five years is achieved distinction as one of South Africa’s Quality races.  In the 2010 survey is was ranked the second best Marathon.

This is the only marathon run at night in South Africa and the organizers go out of their way to make it a very special race.
